Car Battery Jump Start Service in Nad Al Sheba
A jump start gets a car with a flat battery running again without replacing anything. We come to the car — driveway, basement or roadside — boost it safely, then test the battery and alternator to see whether it will hold charge. It costs AED 99 flat. If the battery is only drained, that is the whole visit.

Jump start or replacement — which do you need?
A flat battery is not always a dead battery. A battery that was drained by something left on can usually be recovered. A battery that has worn out will go flat again within days. The pattern before it failed is the best clue.
| What happened | Most likely | What usually fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| Lights or a door were left on overnight | Drained, battery itself may be fine | Jump start, then a proper drive |
| Car sat unused for weeks | Slowly drained by the alarm, tracker and computers | Jump start, then a test to see if it holds charge |
| Started fine yesterday, silent today | Either — a test decides | Jump start and test |
| Slow to start for days or weeks | Battery is wearing out | Replacement |
| Needed a jump more than once recently | Battery no longer holds charge, or the alternator is not charging | Test both — we replace a failed battery; an alternator fault needs a garage |
| Battery is three or more years old in Dubai heat | Near the end of its life | Test; replacement is likely |
Either way, we test on arrival before recommending anything. If the battery is failing you get a replacement quote on the spot, and the decision is yours.
What happens during a jump start visit
- 1
We find the right connection points
On many modern cars the battery is in the boot or under a seat, and the manufacturer provides dedicated jump terminals under the bonnet. We use those.
- 2
The car is boosted
The engine is started from our own power source, connected in the correct order with the final connection made away from the battery.
- 3
Battery and alternator are tested
A load test shows whether the battery can still hold charge, and a charging check shows whether the alternator is doing its job.
- 4
You get a clear answer
Healthy and just drained, weakening, or due for replacement. If it only needed a boost, you pay AED 99 and carry on with your day.
Why a professional jump start is the safer choice
Jump starting looks simple, and with care it can be done at home — our guide to jump starting safely covers the general method. But there are real risks, and they are higher on newer cars.
- A battery gives off hydrogen gas. A spark at the terminal can ignite it, which is why the last clamp goes on bare metal away from the battery.
- Reversed clamps, even for a moment, can damage the alternator, fuses and control units.
- Cars with start-stop systems, battery sensors, hybrids and EVs have specific jump points and procedures set out in the owner's manual.
- A battery that is swollen, cracked, leaking or smells of rotten eggs must not be jump started at all.
If the case is bulging, cracked or wet, or you smell sulphur, keep clear of it, do not connect cables and call for help. It needs replacing, not boosting.
After a jump start
The alternator is built to keep a healthy battery topped up, not to refill one from empty in a few minutes. After a jump start, drive for at least 20 to 30 minutes without stopping the engine, and keep heavy loads such as the rear demister and heated seats off where you can. A run of short trips straight afterwards may leave it flat again.
If the car needs another jump within a few days, the battery is no longer holding charge or something is draining it. That is the point to have it tested properly.
Common questions
AED 99 flat. That includes the boost and a health check of the battery and alternator.
Yes. We boost the car wherever it is parked — basement, garage, driveway or roadside.
If the car started fine yesterday and is silent today, a jump may be all it needs. If it's been slow to start for days, it likely needs replacing — either way we test on arrival before recommending anything.
Done correctly, no. The risk comes from wrong connections or boosting a damaged battery, which is why we use the manufacturer's jump points and check the battery's condition first.
Yes. Regular hours run from 8am to 11pm, and emergency callouts are available 24/7.
